Any details on what the crash was or the error message?

Well the Server crashed, and so did the block history.

Also, names are messing up.

Then I delete the glass.

I cleared all the names that were imported from MCForge (about 25,000 between banned and ranked) and re-imported a much smaller amount (just recent ones). Block history might be cleared for anyone in those imported lists.
I'm not too worried about the names and block history because thats just from me dicking around, but that random crash that skitty reported doesn't bode well for something that's meant to be stable. I'd like to track those to see if its a once off or a regular thing.

I'm also hoping that we don't have a huge grief before a crash, because I could not find ANY block history from before it. I'll check the server, and edit this whether it's fine or not.

EDIT: Block History is working. Yay.

Tried Opticraft. Not user friendly and very basic. I cant even find a cuboid command.

have you tried svsk? Nuclear Storm server has it and its pretty much on 24/7 without any crashes what so ever. Also it has a bunch of commands that mcforge has as well.

Just a quick update on how the trial 800craft server is going.

Our main server (MCForge) is still dropping to the bottom of minecraft.net almost every day. I don't think its crashing but it must have a poor heartbeat that is causing it to drop so regularly. Either way, dropping is bad for getting new players, whether due to a crash or missed hearbeats.

Insomniac 2 (800craft) is doing fairly well in stability. Its currently up to 4 days uptime (MCForge currently only has 1 day uptime). Its been getting some new joiners and some builds are starting to appear.

800craft had that 1 crash reported by Skitty. It still seems quite rare. My own test server, Yeah Whatever, hasn't crashed on the current version, which is running fine for 2 weeks so far and was in the top 15 on minecraft.net. It only dropped when my home internet connection went down for 5 minutes.

I like that you're still hidden when you log in. Allows for a quick sabotage of griefers
I decided as long as I was going to hell, I might as well do it thoroughly.

I say we are set and we have a few fun commands that I tested on evoker xD like /basscannon hehe I like 800craft might not be as fun as mcforge but its a great hoster all together with stability and user friendly. I say YES to this.

Don't know if we are gona vote, but I also say YES, it has some points that make me sure to say yes, some of the new cmd's, you stay hidden, even if u go offline, , finally more guests, and of coarse, no/less crashes, so I say YES!

Just after reading the post about an archived map, that reminds me of another plus point of 800craft. The main reason I archive maps is to try and keep the map list a reasonable size (instead of having to page through 500 maps).

800craft allows you to hide maps. That means maps would still be available to join if you know the name but if they are not used that often we can hide them so that they dont clutter up the map list. No need to archive maps any more.

Host machine just lost its internet connection for 2 minutes. Both servers are reset back to the bottom of the list  :'(

Edit: just saw skitty's post in shoutbox. Electrical issue.
So many challenges when keeping a Minecraft server going!  :D
