I seem to be having problems with Internet Explorer or Google Chrome that no web pages seem to be loading. But if I open up Safari or Mozilla Firefox, the web pages open. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could the course of this may be?

I know that Internet Explorer and Chrome share the same proxy settings, which they use when attempting to connect to internet. Firefox has its own proxy settings and works independently. This would explain why bith Chrome and IE dont work but Firefox does.
I don't know about Safari. It might have its own settings too.

In IE go to Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings
See if there is anything missing, or anything there that shouldnt be (it depends on your internet connection).

You could try comparing the settings to Firefox, which is working as it should.
In Firefox go to Options->Network->Settings

Copy the settings from Firefox into IE.
Surplus to requirements

Thanks. And I am pretty sure Safari has it's own Proxies too.
