My favorite by far has been the seed "Takinom". Before 1.8, there was a beautiful beach with a bit of iron hidden behind a clay wall. Breaking the iron lead to a massive cavern with more diamonds then redstone. There was also a fair amount of gold, and tonnes of lapis and iron. Not much coal, but so what!
Since the adventure update however, the same seed spawns you on the edge on three biomes, taiga, jungle and desert. A bit of exploring into the jungle reveals a stronghold, and if your using 1.3 or one of the snapshots, there's even a temple. The desert has a large village in it, and more than one. I got 11 diamonds by raiding the blacksmiths. One bad thing about it is the lack of mountains near spawn. I had to walk two and a half kilometers to find decent mountains to build my windmill.

I put in a bunch of people from here's names

bren4q was pretty cool, bunch of colliding biomes

skitty, skittlezandpron, darthjahona, and Krawkyz all spawned in a plain valley, looked nice, but boring

Ppowerhousek was a plains but got interesting if you walked around a bit

Thrash393, blitzkin, typical jungle and desert

one_Schiller was kinda cool looking, jungle with a huge hole and lake

The coolest I found was "alessandra" snowy biome with awesome mountains

I found a nice one, the seed was nothc.

I found nice seed, its called : Retribution (Caps Sensitive). You spawn on a barren snow biome (Atleast, i did...) It has a few nice caves with ores and all that stuff and some trees. It also has a few above-ground lava pools.

Also, there are some sweet mountains by the spawn. Thats pretty much it.

Wow i never realized the seed was case sensative.

When creating a single player map click more options and depending on what you type there it will create a world

So if you're in a cool world you can tell your friends what seed you used then they can use it

I think if you press f3 ingame it will show the seed

Whats really interesting is that when you spawn, you'll spawn in a plains biome. But around that will be a river. Now the river is only connected to itself. So when you spawn, you'll be in a plains biome with a mote. Oh, and across the river will be a desert, an Extreme Hill, a Forest and a further ways will be a Jungle. Also, between the Hills and desert will be a village. A lame one though. Massive cave network , that goes forever. I didn't explore very far. So you might want to go a few hundred meters to see if anything else it cool.

Back in the 1.7.3 update, I used to use the seed "All Roads lead to Rome", and that would give me an awesome area of Mountain Ranges. But then when I tried that seed in the 1.8 update, it put me in the middle of the ocean with no land nearby in any direction. I tried looking for land, and found land, within about 6 hours of just travelling in one direction.
