for my map in the contest (Insomniac_Hq) i would like to copy one of my friend's (Bad_Candy_Demon) smaller builds to put in my map, such as his DNA strand. I have permission from him to do this so i was wondering wether or not it is within the rules to do this.

also i am probably going to ditch that map and start a new one, but leave it to be the official IC1 hq.

Let's stick with the 128x128x128 volume size. Skittlez, I used a 256x64x128 pixel map and was just barely able to squeeze in your build from Roman. Only problem was that 1 or 2 blocks in the width had to be sacrificed in order to fit. If you can live with the 1 or 2 blocks being chopped off the sides, then it should be good to go.

Whoops, dyslexia got to me Fixed it. I'd like to keep all the maps entirely built by their creators. If we open the door to letting people use other builds (with permission), then I can easily see contestants grabbing amazingly built structures and just rearranging them around on their map, rather than using a little creativity and building something of their own - which is what this whole contest is about; creative originality.

I was looking through some of the maps out there, and I'm going to extend the deadline by two days just so everyone can get their builds finished. Tuesday at 11:59pm Eastern US time. No further extensions.

Did we lose the old personal maps when we merged or are they still there? If they're gone, I probably wouldn't have anything to use. I haven't been able to find my "kesteve."

Yes, the building part of the contest ended last night at 11:59pm US Eastern Time. All we need now is for the contestants to upload their pics and briefly describe their builds in the following link:

When can we start voting and I'm not gonna be on til Monday evening bc I'm at my dads for the weekend but I might be able to check in with the server a few times here but I'm on my iPod for the whole weekend so if anyone wants to contact me message me here Oh yea and to restate my question, when r we gonna start voting for the main maps (P.S. I <3 typing on my iPod keyboard it's fun )
